About the Work & History
This sun-drenched abstract figurative study depicts a woman rising from the water, her form rendered with fluid, expressive brushwork. Warm pinks and oranges create vibrancy and depth, while earthy undertones establish a serene, contemplative atmosphere.
Layered textures and dynamic gestures bring modern elegance and visual energy, creating a striking interplay between form, light, and movement that highlights Colleen Ross’s contemporary figurative abstraction.
Intentionally offered as a studio study, this large-scale original painting presents collectors with an accessible entry point into acquiring a major figurative work directly from the studio archive.
