Colleen Ross has been a well-known and respected figurative and portrait artist since the 1980's. She has painted well over 1000 portraits. Her most well-known, are that of Farrah Fawcett, Brooke Shields, Delta Burke, Jane Seymour and Teri Hatcher. 

Portrait pricing is based upon the desired formality of the commission, the subject and the setting. Colleen Ross offers a variety of options from pop sketches to formal portraiture. Below is an estimated pricing guide; each commission is a unique journey and may require more time and work depending upon the desired outcome. Portraits requiring more than one subject, such as a couple or person with their pet are typically double the price, based upon the added complexity of having to paint and capture two subjects in one piece.

In order to ensure the most successful outcome of your commissioned artwork, Colleen requires high detailed photos of the subject that show the face in a desired format.

• The face should be relaxed with good lighting (large smiles with teeth showing is discouraged).
• Images must be at least 150pixels and 2-5MB in size. Colleen cannot produce the best outcome for your commission from a tiny photo or blurred photo.
• Colleen does not offer in studio photoshoots for portraits; images must be provided by the client.
• All commissions require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit.

Applies to Pet portraits and People portraits. Portrait format consists primarily of the face and shoulders. These pieces are done using a loose, mix media approach of ink, graphite and acrylic paint. Approximate Pricing $1.9-$3 sq/in of canvas.

Applies to couples portraits, half to full body portraits and portraits with a developed setting or with a car or motorcycle. Approximate Pricing $8-$12 per sq/in of canvas. All formal portraits are done in oil paint.
