About the Work & History
Dreams In The Night II is an intimate study depicting a reclining woman in a serene, dreamlike state. Her delicate hand clutching a flower adds a poetic touch, while soft, translucent acrylic washes convey depth, subtlety, and quiet elegance.
Rendered on heavyweight watercolor paper, the soft texture of the ground absorbs the fluid pigments naturally, emphasizing atmospheric stillness and delicate gesture—a hallmark of Colleen Ross’s sensitive approach to the female form.
Intentionally offered as a study, this original work on paper presents collectors with an accessible entry point into acquiring an authentic Colleen Ross figurative composition directly from the studio archive.
