About the Work & History
Sandy Beaches is a classic piece from the Ross era, originally created and released as a limited edition serigraph for the 1990 Carmel Porsche Show celebrating Ferry Porsche. Set against a coastal backdrop, the composition captures a glamorous female figure seated on a vintage Porsche, seamlessly blending automotive culture with timeless elegance.
Having long been sold out from its original release, this iconic work is now reintroduced as a limited edition mixed media original. Each piece begins with an archival canvas print base and is individually hand-finished in oil by Colleen Ross. Because every canvas is uniquely overpainted with distinct painterly accents, no two examples in the edition are identical.
What is a Mixed Media Original?
A mixed media original combines a high-fidelity archival canvas base with extensive hand-painting in oil by Colleen Ross. Because every piece in the edition receives individual hand-application and unique painterly touches in the studio, no two examples are identical.
