Mixed Media uniques begin as a giclee print on archival canvas. Then Colleen Ross overpaints the entire piece in oil paint. This is different than our standard hand embellishment that Colleen does for serigraphs. Instead of a few brush strokes on the image, the entire canvas is over painted in oil paint. Because every brush stroke is different, this overpaint process gives you a hand painted piece of art that only duplicates the subject, but not the individual paint application, much like an original artwork. This allows Colleen to provide her high-end pieces at affordable prices for her collectors.

All Mixed Media Uniques are gallery wrapped with a 1.5in profile and come with ready to hang hardware.

This can vary, but each mixed media piece from print - to paint - to shipping can take up to 4 weeks. These are bespoke pieces (made to order) and are being overpainted by hand; this can take several days to do. In addition, oil paint needs to dry before shipment. So expect 2-4 weeks to created your unique work of art.

Colleen Ross Fine Art ships all artworks, originals and prints, unframed. If you wish to have your piece framed, we can deliver your artwork to our local framing partner, who will provide you frame options.
