About the Work & History
Come Take A Ride is an elegant, impressionistic study depicting a refined woman and her loyal companion. Rendered in subtle sepia tones with a delicate blush of pink, the composition balances classic sophistication with modern minimalism.
Rendered in rich oil paint, the tactile brushwork and soft tonal transitions highlight Colleen Ross’s figurative mastery, capturing quiet affection and poise through graceful lines and an understated color palette.
Intentionally offered as a studio study, this original oil painting provides collectors with an accessible entry point into acquiring a major figurative canvas directly from the studio archive.
